Moira is an absolute delight, totally fearless and ready to take on the world. I love her. Moira is the sister of Padraig O'Neal, the Fae Crown Prince. She's tired of always having to play the role of princess, she wants to be a warrior. When she overhears (because she was spying) her mother, Queen Graceila telling Major Steve Taylor that she knows that Moira is not her biological child and asking him for help finding the real princess, she is devastated. But with youthful determination, she finally convinces her mother to allow her to study to be a Fae warrior. The Queen still considers Moira the "daughter of her heart" and will always consider her as her daughter but she's had visions of her real daughter and knows she needs to come to Otherworld. With Moira joining the action the battle with the Dark Lord and the Warriors of Light gets an 'in your face' fighter who will not stand aside and let her man protect her. She's independent and demands that she gets into the action.
This book has just as much action as the first one but there's a lot of added romance and character development and fun.
There were some typos but I wasn't bothered by them. I love this series and the added world of hIfreann.

Dragon Child Warriors For Light Book 2 edition by LJ DeLeon Literature Fiction eBooks Reviews
I loved this book . . . and I LOVE this series. I love how the author gives me such in depth views of the characters and makes me love them . . . If you are a fan of the supernatural (as I am) . . . you will LOVE this book (and series) too . . . (I received a free copy of this book in exchange for this review, but I was already hooked after reading the first book in the series)
"Damn Cat," my all time new favorite line. This story held me enthralled from beginning to end. This unlikey pair had sizzling heat and fiery passion. Talking about butting heads and laying it all down. Steve, the ultimate Alpha, has to surrender to his seriously hot mate. His dragon. Awesomely written, lots of action and nail biting. Another winner for this new author. This book is great alone, but even better with the first book, Warrior's Rise. I read the first in the series and hurried to pick this one up. You can't go wrong with this series.
Fae princess-in-waiting, Moira O'Neal learns the hard way that one doesn't hear good things about oneself by spying for information. Even if the spying is for the best of intentions. Determined to find the underlying cause of her mother, the Queen's, reclusive behavior, Moira overhears that she is not who she'd always believed. A child switched at birth with the Queen's own daughter, the true princess missing and at risk from the Dark Lord of the Abyss.
Devastated, Moira no longer has the ties she took for granted. Her heritage in doubt, her foundation in her family shaken, Moira takes the bull by the horns - or dragon by the tail as it were - and trains with the warrior team of the Fae to head out and search for answers. She finds some of them in her emerging powers as a dragon shifter and even more with her unanticipated mate.
If life weren't busy enough for Major Steve Taylor of the Warriors for Light army, the were-leopard and rising clan alpha now has to deal with covering the derriere of his Fae princess shifter. Not something either Moira or Steve relish at the start. The backdrop of this story proceeds with more details of the war between dark and light begun in Warrior's Rise. However, the focus on the romance and growth between the two shifter mates, dragon and leopard, lends a fresh tone to book two. The scenes of Moira's acceptance of her dragon capabilities are relayed in lush imagery that I really enjoyed. And while some shifters might progress to love on the wild side after a time of courtship, Steve and Moira start right out with a shifter to shifter love scene that sizzles (no - not leopard/dragon but I won't tell and spoil).
The cast of Warriors for Light Book One makes a number of appearances. The favorites of gargoyles, mages, shifters, Fae and of course the leaders of Team Light, Deva and Padraig, all combine to ensure this is a rich set of worlds with plenty to enjoy. The villains are plentiful with the Abyss churning out new demons and activating `sleepers' among the humans, or apparently not-so-human population. There's plenty of dark and evil here, but the romp and ultimate partnership of Moira and Steve carry the story successfully to its conclusion.
Be forewarned, while Moira and Steve find a resolution to their issues, the war is still on. It may not all be tied up at the end with a neat bow--but if you like ongoing sagas with exciting characters and rich lore then you will enjoy this. I definitely did.
